The Church And Discipleship
There are four essential elements
for becoming an intimate community of believers. They are celebration,
cultivation, caring, and communicating. As these elements are expressed
through our lives, they enable the vision to become a reality. These four
ingredients, blended together, form an intrinsic bond of fellowship through
interdependence and love for one another. The purpose of meeting is to
fulfill these four basic elements:
~ CELEBRATE the grace of God in
Christ.
The gatherings are purposely
designed to worship God, to lead the congregation into the presence of God
through uplifting, contemporary music, open sharing and participation, and
biblical study through relevant messages.
~ CULTIVATE personal growth in
Christ.
Whether as a large gathering,
mid-size fellowship, or small cell group, our overall goal is to help people
find freedom and maturity in Christ.
~ CARE for one another in Christ.
We believe that each Christian is
called by God to care about and serve others. Our ministry is designed to
provide quality Christian support through all of life's hopes and hurts.
~ COMMUNICATE Christ to our world.
We are committed to fulfilling God's
call to reach out to our community with the Good News of Jesus Christ through
our life-style.
SCRIPTURES SUPPORT DISCIPLESHIP
Jesus Is Our Advocate To Eternal Life
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the
gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go
in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to
life, and there are few who find it. Beware of false prophets, who come to
you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know
them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from
thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad
fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good
fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into
the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Not everyone who says
to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the
will of My Father in heaven.” -- Matthew 7:13-21
The Cost Of Eternal Life
“He who finds his life will lose it, and he
who loses his life for My sake will find it. -- Matt.10:39
Our Savior Is Able To Keep Us Safe
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and
they follow Me. “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish;
neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. “My Father, who has given
them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My
Father’s hand. -- John 10:27-29
We Shall Live Because He Lives
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and
the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. -- John
11:25
Jesus’ Authority Comes From The Father
“And I know that His command is everlasting
life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I
speak.” -- John 12:50
Jesus’ Is The Way To Eternal Life
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth,
and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. -- John 14:6
Jesus Died For His Friends
“Greater love has no one than this, than to
lay down one’s life for his friends.—John 15:13
Eternal Life Comes From The Father And Son
“And this is eternal life, that they may know
You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. -- John 17:3
The Reason The Gospels Were Written
And truly Jesus did many other signs in the
presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are
written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and
that believing you may have life in His name. -- Jn 20:30-31
Salvation And Faith Come Through The
Scriptures
But what does it say? “The word is near you,
even in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we
preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in
your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with
the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is
made to salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not
be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the
same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls upon
the name of the LORD shall be saved.” How then shall they call on Him in
whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they
have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they
preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of
those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good
things!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who
has believed our report?” So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the
word of God.—Romans 10:8-17
The Authority For Us To Make Disciples
Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying,
“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. “Go therefore
and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, “teaching them to observe all
things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the
end of the age.” Amen. -- Matthew 28:18-20
‘Not by power, not by might, but, by my
Spirit’, saith the Lord of Hosts.
-- Zech. 4:6
