he spiritual beings seen throughout scripture
are: Seraphim, Cherubim, the Living Creatures and Spirit Animals of
revelations, the archangels and angels. Of these we will mention the
archangels and angels as among our closest allies. We will also speak about
demons, and Satan, who is the ruler of demons. There are two categories of
spiritual beings: those who fell with Lucifer and those who stayed loyal to
God.
Angels carry on their daily work and
responsibilities the same way in which we go about doing our required
routines. Their primary duty is to help us in our daily activities. We call
angels the Sons of the Mighty, Sons of God, the congregation of the mighty,
Hosts, Spirits and the Elect. The angels who are loyal to God have the
following responsibilities. They minister to the saints, help each
individual, strengthen in trial, lead sinners to Gospel workers, protect the
saints, witness confessions, give revelations, impart God's will, bring
answers to prayer, and execute judgment. Angels have bodies and personal
souls with emotions. They are individuals with their own spirit, wisdom,
knowledge, and intelligence.
Although the Word regards angels as
a little higher than man, it is because they are spiritual beings, we are not
to worship them. God created the angels. They can appear visibly but most of
the time they are invisible. God tested the angels to see if they would be
loyal to God and His Saints. They are precious to Him and deserve our respect
for the work they accomplish for us through the grace of God.
God sent us a Comforter. We are
never alone as some skeptics would have us think. We are not weak and
helpless as the enemy would have humanity believe. The believers who exercise
their faith, being obedient to believe His Word and doing God's will, come to
maturity to discern both 'good and evil'. They can be effective ministers of
reconciliation.
There is power and authority
delegated to those who become obedient to the will of God. Through
obedience! If we will humble ourselves, accepting our position and identity
‘in Christ’, and pray, God will open the windows of heaven and pour out a
blessing that we cannot contain. God's will for humanity is simple. He wants
us to conform us to the image of His Son. His plan for mankind is to destroy
the works of the devil through our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, so
that we may share is His grace and riches eternally.
The ministering angels await their
orders from God. He is waiting for us to become obedient and to pray
according to the leading of the Spirit within. The scriptures reveal the
power and authority provided to believers who are obedient. The authority and
commission come directly from our Lord Jesus Christ who baptized them with the
Holy Spirit and with power over all of the works of the devil.
EXAMPLES OF THE MINISTRY OF FAITHFUL ANGELS
They Minister To The Saints
Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels
came and ministered to Him. -- Matt. 4:11
Are they not all ministering spirits sent
forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? -- Hebrews 1:14
"Take heed that you do not despise one of
these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the
face of My Father who is in heaven. -- Matt. 18:10
They Strengthen Us In Trial
Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven,
strengthening Him. -- Luke 22:43
Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip,
saying, "Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from
Jerusalem to Gaza." This is desert. -- Acts 8:26
"For there stood by me this night an angel of
the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, - Acts 27:23
They Can Appear In Dreams
But while he thought about these things,
behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son
of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is
conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. "And she will bring forth a Son, and
you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."
Now all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord
through the prophet, saying: "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and bear a
Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with
us." Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord
commanded him and took to him his wife, -- Matthew 1:20-24
Now when they had departed, behold, an angel
of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, take the young
Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word;
for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him." When he arose, he took
the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, and was there
until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the
Lord through the prophet, saying, "Out of Egypt I called My Son." Then Herod,
when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and
he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and
in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time
which he had determined from the wise men. Then was fulfilled what was spoken
by Jeremiah the prophet, saying: "A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation,
weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, refusing to be
comforted, because they were no more." But when Herod was dead, behold, an
angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, -- Matthew
2:13-19

who fear Him, And delivers them. -- Psalms 34:7
For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways. -- Psalms 91:11
Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him,
and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised
him up, saying, "Arise quickly!" And his chains fell off his hands. Then the
angel said to him, "Gird yourself and tie on your sandals"; and so he did. And
he said to him, "Put on your garment and follow me." So he went out and
followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but
thought he was seeing a vision. When they were past the first and the second
guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened
to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and
immediately the angel departed from him. --Acts 12:7- 10
Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck
him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and
died. -- Acts 12:23
Angels Give Revelations And Bring Answers To
Prayer
And I heard a man's voice between the banks of
the Ulai, who called, and said, "Gabriel, make this man understand the
vision." So he came near where I stood, and when he came I was afraid and fell
on my face; but he said to me, "Understand, son of man, that the vision refers
to the time of the end." Now, as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep
sleep with my face to the ground; but he touched me, and stood me upright. And
he said, "Look, I am making known to you what shall happen in the latter time
of the indignation; for at the appointed time the end shall be. -- Daniel
8:16-19
Now while I was speaking, praying, and
confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my
supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God, yes,
while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision
at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of
the evening offering. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, "O
Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand. "At the
beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell
you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore consider the matter, and
understand the vision: -- Daniel 9:20-23
Then, suddenly, a hand touched me, which made
me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands. And he said to me, "O
Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and
stand upright, for I have now been sent to you." While he was speaking this
word to me, I stood trembling. Then he said to me, "Do not fear, Daniel, for
from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble
yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of
your words. "But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one
days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I
had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. "Now I have come to make
you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the
vision refers to many days yet to come." When he had spoken such words to me,
I turned my face toward the ground and became speechless. And suddenly, one
having the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips; then I opened my mouth
and spoke, saying to him who stood before me, "My lord, because of the vision
my sorrows have overwhelmed me, and I have retained no strength. "For how can
this servant of my lord talk with you, my lord? As for me, no strength remains
in me now, nor is any breath left in me." Then again, the one having the
likeness of a man touched me and strengthened me. And he said, "O man greatly
beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong!" So when he
spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, "Let my lord speak, for you have
strengthened me." Then he said, "Do you know why I have come to you? And now I
must return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I have gone forth,
indeed the prince of Greece will come. "But I will tell you what is noted in
the Scripture of Truth. (No one upholds me against these, except Michael your
prince. -- Dan. 10:10-21
Angels Work With The Holy Spirit And People
-Acts 10
But at night an angel of the Lord opened the
prison doors and brought them out, and said, "Go, stand in the temple and
speak to the people all the words of this life." - Acts 5:19-20
The Angels Of God Execute His Judgments
"The Son of Man will send out His angels, and
they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who
practice lawlessness, "and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will
be wailing and gnashing of teeth. -- Mat. 13:41-42
