cripture uncovers the origin of Lucifer and
his kingdom, the ways he oppresses humanity, and where we find his agents of
darkness in this present age. The only effective weapon is faith toward God’s
angelic host to move in our behalf. The Word of God clearly declares the
Truth and we must by faith believe God to move because of our relationship
through our Lord, Savior, and life.
Who Is Lucifer?
Moreover the word of the LORD came to me,
saying, ‘Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to
him, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: ‘You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom
and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious
stone was your covering: the sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and
jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your
timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created. ‘You were
the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; you were on the holy
mountain of God; you walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You
were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was
found in you. ‘By the abundance of your trading you became filled with
violence within, and you sinned; therefore I cast you as a profane thing out
of the mountain of God; and I destroyed you, O covering cherub, from the midst
of the fiery stones. ‘Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you
corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground,
I laid you before kings, that they might gaze at you. - Ezekiel 28:11-17
The Reason For Lucifer's Fall
‘How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer,
son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the
nations! For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will
exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the
congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the
heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.' -- Isaiah 14:12-14
The War That Overthrew Lucifer's Kingdom
And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his
angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but
they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So
the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and
Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels
were cast out with him. -- Rev 12:7-9
The Revelation Of Our Savior's Victory Over
Him
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven,
‘Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His
Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our
God day and night, has been cast down. ‘And they overcame him by the blood of
the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives
to the death. -- Rev 12:10-11
Lucifer Is The Prince Of This World
‘Now is the judgment of this world; now the
ruler of this world will be cast out. -- John 12:31
Lucifer Came For Jesus But Could Not Hold Him

‘You have heard Me say to you, 'I am going
away and coming back to you.' If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I
said, 'I am going to the Father,' for My Father is greater than I. ‘And now I
have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may
believe. ‘I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is
coming, and he has nothing in Me. -- John 14:28-30
The Spirit Of Lucifer’s Rebellion Is At Work

world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now

Who Are Lucifer's Spiritual Allies
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be
able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against
flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the
rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in
the heavenly places. -- Eph. 6:11-12
What Is Lucifer's Intentions Toward Mankind?

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled
to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who
do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is
the image of God, should shine on them.
We Manifest Jesus' By Our Love And His Spirit
Living In Us
My little children, let us not love in word or
in tongue, but in deed and in truth. And by this we know that we are of the
truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our heart condemns us,
God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart
does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we
receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that
are pleasing in His sight. And this is His commandment: that we should believe
on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us
commandment. Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him.
And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

Every Child Of God Receives The Holy Spirit
‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized
in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive
the gift of the Holy Spirit. ‘For the promise is to you and to your children,
and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.’ --Acts
2:38-39
We receive the Witness, the Holy
Spirit, to lead us into all truth. For God is rich in mercy from everlasting
to everlasting, showering blessing upon those who love Him and are obedient to
the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. His Word living in us is the beginning
of knowledge and wisdom and understanding. We can believe God's Word or
remain blinded by the God of this world. Every day we need to choose to
believe God for our providential care in overcoming the enemy of our soul. We
declare our lives are God’s when we rely on Him for our every need.
any people confuse the issue of the spirit of
anti-Christ with the person revealed in the Book of Revelations. We will not
deal with the character, but the spirit of Antichrist that leads people who
error. They deny that Jesus is the Christ. These people may be part of a
formal institution, a secret sect or cult. The spirit of Antichrist is the
very nature and spirit of the enemy working in the children of disobedience,
and the workers of iniquity.
The reason for this study is to
reveal the nature of what the spirit of antichrist propagates. The world
system is the means by which the person will rise to rule part of the earth.
The world system is carnal. It ascribes to the higher aspirations of man, his
philosophy, definition, and standard of what is 'good' or 'evil'. It is in
direct opposition to faith. Satan is also the father of this lie.
We live spiritually because God gave
us a new heart and spirit. Our guidance comes from above. God saves us by
His grace through faith in the atoning blood of our Lord. Then He leads us by
the Holy Spirit. He is our counselor, and will give us everything we need to
overcome the trials and tribulations of this world's system. The Victory
comes through knowledge, understanding, and commitment to God’s will through
obedience to the Holy Spirit.
Discerning The Spirit Of Truth And The Spirit
Of Error
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test
the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone
out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that
confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit
that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.
And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and
is now already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have
overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the
world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the
world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of
God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of
error. -- 1 Jn 4:1-6
Discernment Comes From Knowing God, His Word
And By Works
‘Beware of false prophets, who come to you in
sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. ‘You will know them
by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles?
‘Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. ‘A
good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. ‘Every
tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
‘Therefore by their fruits you will know them. ‘Not everyone who says to Me,
'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of
My Father in heaven. ‘Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we
not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many
wonders in Your name?' ‘And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you;
depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' -- Matthew 7:15-23
The Wheat And Tares Grow Together
Another parable He put forth to them, saying:
‘The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; ‘but
while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his
way. ‘But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also
appeared. ‘So the servants of the owner came and said to him, 'Sir, did you
not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?' ‘He said to
them, 'An enemy has done this.' The servants said to him, 'Do you want us then
to go and gather them up?' ‘But he said, 'No, lest while you gather up the
tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 'Let both grow together until the
harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, ‘First gather
together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat
into my barn.’ -- Matthew 13:24-30
The Explanation Of The Parable
Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went
into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, ‘Explain to us the
parable of the tares of the field.’ He answered and said to them: ‘He who sows
the good seed is the Son of Man. ‘The field is the world, the good seeds are
the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. ‘The
enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the
reapers are the angels. ‘Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the
fire, so it will be at the end of this age. ‘The Son of Man will send out His
angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and
those who practice lawlessness, ‘and will cast them into the furnace of fire.
There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. ‘Then the righteous will shine
forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let
him hear! -- Matthew 13:36-43
Warnings And Encouragements
‘Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which
is hypocrisy. ‘For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor
hidden that will not be known. ‘Therefore whatever you have spoken in the
dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner
rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
‘And I say to you, My friends, do not be
afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can
do. ‘But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has
killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!
‘Are not five sparrows sold for two copper
coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. ‘But the very hairs of
your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than
many sparrows. ‘Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the
Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. ‘But he who denies Me
before men will be denied before the angels of God. ‘And anyone who speaks a
word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but to him who
blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven.
‘Now when they bring you to the synagogues and
magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer,
or what you should say. ‘For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour
what you ought to say.’ -- Luke 12:1-12
Stay Away From Strange Doctrine
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter
times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and
doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience
seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from
foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe
and know the truth. -- 1 Timothy 4:1-3
In These Perilous Times Avoid Those Who Deny
The Power Of God
But know this, that in the last days perilous
times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money,
boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of
good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of
God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people
turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make
captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,
always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. -- 2
Timothy 3:1-7
This World's System Will Pass Away With Its
Principles
Do not love the world or the things in the
world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For
all that is in the world; the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the
pride of life; is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is
passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides
forever. -- 1 John 2:15-17
Be Weary Of Those Not Bearing The Fruit Of The
Spirit
But you, beloved, remember the words which
were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you
that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their
own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having
the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith,
praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for
the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And on some have
compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out
of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. -- Jude 1:17-23
Children Of Righteousness Or Children Of The
Devil
Little children, let no one deceive you. He
who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins
is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose
the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he
cannot sin, because he has been born of God. In this the children of God and
the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice
righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. -- 1 Jn
3:7-10
The Workers Of Iniquity Will Have Their
Judgment
‘But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable,
murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have
their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the
second death.’ -- Revelation 21:8
But outside are dogs and sorcerers and
sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices
a lie. -- Revelation 22:15
Unsaved people need reconciliation
with God. They are in the deception, and in need radical exposure to the
light of the Gospel, or they will continue to walk in direct opposition to
God. Satan is their enemy, his kingdom is real, and he blinds them to
salvation in Jesus Christ. Satan caught them through the world system by
appealing to the appetites of their self-centered lives. The children of
darkness directly or indirectly involve others with the Satanic kingdom
through occult practices. These people are under the curse of the law until
they receive forgiveness through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. They may
already be under God's judgment for sin and suffer some affliction. It is
fundamentally important to know the power and authority of the Spirit before
ministering to anyone. Through our prayerful efforts and the power of God's
Word they may come to the Lord. Take heed to this advice and do not attempt
to minister to anyone without the Holy Spirit's lead. Remember what happened
to the sons of Sceva who presumed to have Christ's authority and ministered on
their own authority. We to are work with God and not just assume that we
work with Him because we know the Scriptures.
The Sons Of Sceva's Mistake
Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists
took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had
evil spirits, saying, ‘We adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.’ Also
there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And the
evil spirit answered and said, ‘Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are
you?’ Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered
them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked
and wounded. -- Acts 19:13-16
The grace of God provides us with an
opportunity to lead others to eternal life. Anyone may come and freely
receive the gift of salvation. As God's children, we have the right to invite
whosoever to the light of His love. The churches need to share God's love so
that the Seed of the Gospel finds the fertile recess of a heart that will be
fruitful and multiply. Without a relationship and the leading of the Holy
Spirit, we are sewing in the dark. There are many people who do not know
about the love of God and still preach the Gospel, but this is not our
concern. God does not always pick and choose those who preach the Gospel, nor,
when and how they do it. We suppose that we are to be bringing preachers into
the kingdom when God is looking for believers who conform into the image of
His Son. The Lord wants His followers to preach ‘Jesus Christ crucified’;
this is our first responsibility.
We can truly begin to minister when
we remember that He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. If we share His
word, He will open the door for us. His peace and understanding will be there
as a witness. The fruits of His Spirit in our life will meet the needs of
others. When the fruit of the spirit manifests in our walk, His light will
increase as our light decreases. We need to mature and submit to the will of
God. Let the love of God flow out of our heart and see God add the increase
to the church.
For a person to be 'born again', the
same amount of effort and labor of an actual birth takes place in the
spiritual realms. To be born again, we need help from others -- from the
planting of the seed, the feeding of God's Word, and right through the
travails of birth. We did not make it without someone else's prayer and
fasting. We needed someone to carry us to salvation’s door. Is it time to
carry our own weight and the responsibility for someone else? There are
trials and tribulations spiritual parents go through while 'babes' are in the
fetal stages. Birth is a wonder any parent can respect. It's a miracle some
spiritual parents keep giving birth after the heartache we gave them. This is
still the price, if we want to work with God, to bring children into the
kingdom of God, we must take up the ‘Cross’.
